Our tips for hiking at Sonnenkopf in Vorarlberg

Top station – valley station
2 hours walking time – This easy walk takes you along forestry tracks and walking trails. Therefore, it is a perfect walk for families with little children.

Valley station – Nenzigast – mountain restaurant Sonnenkopf
7 hours walking time - Starting at the “Sonnenkopf” cable car’s valley station, this high-altitude walk provides an insight into the colourful nature of the Klostertal. This hike takes you from Klösterle along the Nenzigast Alps, through Wintertal, Eisental and Kuhtal around the Thüringer Schaftalpe and back to the mountain restaurant Sonnenkopf.

Top station – Burtschakopf – top station
2,5 hours walking time – Your alpine hike takes you over small paths along beautiful upland moors. There is also an option to walk to the Thüringer-Schafalpe and back to the Sonnenkopf. Perfect choice for a family trip!

Top station – Wasserstuben alp – Top station
1,5 hours walking time – The Wasserstuben alp is a managed hut and is open from July until mid-September. Butter and cheese are produced there. This easy hike through the Wasserstuben – valley is also perfect for families!

Top station – Muttjöchle – Top station or Kristberg – Dallas
2,5 hours walking time – A nice hike for families where you pass upland moors and flowering mountain meadows and can even walk to the Silbertal via Christbergsattel or to Dallas. A perfect choice for families with little children!
